We are pleased to announce that all roads are now able to connect to their new water services contingent on their obtaining the appropriate Town permits, inspections, and meeting OCWA requirements.
Actual construction of this water district has been completed since August 2007. However, restoration will continue through the spring. Please be patient with the restoration process and allow a reasonable time for your restoration to be completed.
All the curb stops and meter pits have been installed per the Town of Granby contract and there will be no more installation of service laterals by the Town and/or Syracuse Constructors for this district.
Please keep in mind that if you qualified for a meter pit (being 150 feet or more off of the right of way), then one was installed for you. If not, and you want a meter pit, then it will be installed at your own expense. These meter pits are running at approximately $700 plus installation.
All residents must have sent their "meter application" card into OCWA prior to requesting a meter. This card reserves a meter for you.
Please be advised that Water District #3 paid for the installation of 797 meters for this project. At this time, that number represents enough meters for each current parcel, however, this will be on a first come, first serve basis. Once this supply of meters is depleted, installation costs for new service will be the responsibility of the district resident.
Any questions or concerns with regards to the water district should be directed to the Water District Clerk, Lisa Somers, at 598-6500 ext 202.
