Although the dog control officer is a part time position, every effort is made to respond to resident concerns in a very timely fashion.

This department works closely with the town clerk in insuring that all dogs in the town are licensed as required by law

The Dog Control officers pick up stray dogs running loose in the town. They maintain a kennel under contract with the town and make a strong effort to match healthy unclaimed dogs with people who wish to adopt a dog.
